"Tiana’s concept art is so gorgeous. It’s funny that Disney didn’t put more effort into her hair when they were so proud of their work on Rapunzel and Merida’s hair…I’d wonder why but it’s probably the same reason that the one black princess is the princess that’s a frog for 85% of the movie"
First off, Rapunzel and Merida were in CG-animated films, while Tiana was in a hand-drawn film. The animation styles are completely different and can’t be compared.
Second, PatF takes place in 1920’s Louisiana. Women in that time period cut their hair into short styles such as bob cuts. It was the popular style of the time. Therefore, Tiana wouldn’t have a crazy hairstyle like Rapunzel and Merida.
Finally, this has nothing to do with her race. Lottie, the other female character in the movie, has short hair just like Tiana does. You’re just trying to start up unnecessary bullshit by making a false claim that Disney and this movie are racist.
